When to Use a Horizontal Bakery Mixer

When running a factory or kitchen that requires bakery equipment, it is important to have the right equipment for the type of food that is being prepared. If you find yourself in the market for a bakery mixer, you will soon find that there are a few different kinds. One of these is a horizontal mixer, and it might be more suitable for a kitchen in many instances over a spiral mixer or planetary mixer.

Horizontal bakery mixers can most often be found in large bread factories. They are typically needed where there is a continuous dough process. This means the materials to make the dough goes in and when it emerges as actual dough it continues on through the rest of the process.

Horizontal mixers will be commonly found with a “Z” blade. This is used for creating biscuit dough. The blade will cause the bakery mixer to produce an intensive heat process, and this will remove the protein structure in the dough and cause it to create its shape.

Those inexperienced in baking probably have no idea the importance that comes from mixing. Mixing the dough will create the right temperature and correct consistency of the dough before it bakes, and this process cannot be corrected at a later time. That is why it is especially important when running a kitchen to have the needed bakery mixer at your disposal before beginning on any type of baking journey.
